7 steps to boost your happiness

Happiness is something we all desire. Creating a life that feels good on the inside is within everyone's reach. All it takes is one person to change your life - you!

Lets share some fantastic vibes with my favourite 7 steps to happiness:

1. Choose a career that reflects your natural talents.

We spend most of our lives working, so choosing a job aligned to our naturally talents doing doesn’t feel like work, more like a hobby we are getting paid for. Having a happy work environment creates amazing energy which everyone can thrive within. Discovering what your natural talents can be an exciting journey and well worth the effort.

2. Lighten up and have more fun.

All work and no play is plain boring, so add some laughter and smile more. Think of your funniest memory and hold that thought. Smile to everyone you meet. Make room for fun activities with fun people. Watch funny clips on you tube. Doing this will boost your levels of happiness big time. Positive energy is contagious, pass it on.

3. Tell yourself ‘I can and I will’

Having limitations dilutes our energy and wears us down. Instead, blast them to infinity and beyond by telling yourself ‘I can and I will’. Having inner strength raises self esteem and confidence, so consciously choose powerful words that unlock your willpower. Leading by example inspires others to do the same so be energy efficient.

4. Think of everything you are grateful for.

Being grateful for what we already have in our life opens the gates to self love. Instead of wishing our lives away, be present in the moment reflecting on the love within. Embracing the flow of gratitude delivers magical happenings into our life - a must experience. Start a daily routine that reflects on what you are presently grateful for, remembering all love begins with self love.

5. Take nothing personally.

Keep it real by remembering we all experience crappy days and can say things we didn’t mean. When we take nothing personally, our reaction is neutral leaving no room for arguments. It is worth while remembering if someone is being hard on themselves, they will be hard on you. Let it go and adopt the mantra ‘it is not my business what other people think of me’, after all you can’t please everyone all the time.

6. Listen to your intuition.

Intuition is the fast track way to create new opportunities. Trusting those gut feelings then making them happen, will open many a treasure chest. Connecting with our entrepreneurial energy, gives access to our deepest insight. Let intuition guide you, it won’t let you down.

7. Believe in yourself.
There is only one of you and there will never be another - you are perfect exactly as you are. Believe in yourself and all your infinite possibilities, always. You have the power to create whatever you desire, keep believing you can and you will. Think happy, believe in happy, be happy!

Never give up…

Have you ever found yourself caught up in an energy frenzy, feeling enough is enough and thinking it’s time to push the **** it button?! That feeling of exasperation, exhaustion and bewilderment can be a mega energy drainer, yet these moments teach us so much about ourselves.

The obvious answer might be to give up, but what if there is another option, one that hasn’t been discovered? What if it simply comes down to not being energy efficient?

Right place right time also known as synchronistic events, opens so many doors for us and happens when we take responsibility of our energy. When we become connected to all that is, doors open and energy flows, giving us the power to create our dreams. All it takes is acknowledging that **** it moment, then beginning a journey of letting go.

The letting go experience is different for everyone however, the common link is trust. Trusting everything will all be ok and that hidden treasures are soon to be uncovered, becomes the new mantra. Letting go of our limitations and restrictions directs our focus to trust more and worry less. When we consciously do this, we use our energy in a more fuel efficient way.

So how do we let go? Firstly have awareness of exactly what you need to let go of, then stop trying so hard to control the outcome. Trust the answer will present itself to you but in order for that to happen, quieten your mind. This can be done through meditation, breathing or chanting. Continuing to entertain a fearful manic mind does not create space for a solution to appear, quiet time is needed.

Being energy efficient opens up channels of strength from within, and when inner strength is combined with mind space, what an amazing energy unfolds. Doing this regularly heightens our awareness of ourselves and we become an invincible force. Laughing in the face of challenges becomes the norm and self esteem reaches an all time high. The key is to make quiet time part of your lifestyle and not just for emergency situations.

Going with the flow takes practice and a lot of trust, yet once the gates are opened and a strong relationship established, life’s synchronised events begin to happen. Living becomes effortless and opportunity flows towards us, all we need to do is open our hands to receive it.

Never give up on your dreams. Those who achieve their dreams, simply wouldn't take NO as an answer.

Thankful Thursday

What are you thankful for today? We all have many things to be thankful for but do we recognise what they are?

For me as I write this blog, I am extremely thankful to see the sun streaming in my window - I love the sun.

I asked my son what he was thankful for today and his reply was ‘you, having a good life and the skills you give me in life.’ I am now sitting with a big smile on my face and and bigger glow in my heart.

It can be a beautiful experience sharing what we are grateful for, as it brings us closer together giving insight into who we are. Gratitude lifts our energy and dissolves fear. Bringing our focus to everything we have in our life grounds us here and now in the present moment.

Here are some top tips:

  • Think of EVERYTHING you are thankful for and make a gratitude list.Ask others what they are truly thankful for.
  •  Smell the roses and connect in with the beauty of nature all around you.
  • Tell your loved ones you love them and are grateful to have them in your life.
  • Reflect on your favourite memories and let the energy surround you.
  • Wear your smile as it looks great on you.
  • Embrace your mistakes as your best life lessons.
  • Keep life simple.
  • Remember, hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.
  • Recognise the achievements in your life so far.

The Art of Giving

How many of us love the feeling a kind gesture brings, knowing we have captured someones thoughts and hearts  to prompt a gift being given, time shared or simply a catch up conversation - it makes such a difference. Giving to each other adds instant feel factor, but do we give enough?

The energetic law of attraction states when we give, we  receive. This opens us up to infinite possibilities. Looking deeper into this theory, that which we desire we give to others. If there is a feeling of not having enough time in our life, then start giving more time. Looking to generate more finances? Share what you  have. Want to learn more? Share what you know. This creates an energetic vacuum around us that starts distributing that which we affirm. When we keep our intention on our goals, universal energy delivers back to us with an abundance of synchronistic events and doors that are open for us.

My favourite quote to explain this concept is from Albert Einstein “Everything is energy and thats all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” Translated think about that which you desire and take action to make it happen, watch it all fall into place.

I remember when I started using the art of giving. I managed to manifest abundance in the most amazing ways and was overwhelmed at the power and speed of it. Wanting to include this into my business life I asked to be shown the best way to share my earnings with a good cause, and sure enough it was shown to me.

I became aware of a charity called Women for Women. They help women survivors of war rebuild their lives www.womenforwomen.org and this felt so aligned with my cause. Women for Women International supports women in war-torn regions with financial and emotional aid, job-skills training, rights education and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives. These women are emotionally, mentally and physically scarred by war. They have witnessed loved ones being killed,  experienced gang rapes by many soldiers and are desperate to build a future for themselves, children and community with what little energy they have left within. Main stream media  doesn’t always document what happens after a war, and the reality is shocking.

When I  heard about this charity, I felt compelled to help and that is exactly what I did. I have been able to sponsor many women with the help of my clients. Each person who uses my services is directly helping the woman I am sponsoring.  At the moment she lives in Rwanda. We communicate gratitude to each other; me for being in a position to help change her life and community, her for me choosing to sponsor. I have received much kindness in my life from people when I needed it, so it was time for me to give back. A lot of these ladies cannot believe there are people all over the world who care about them, and that awareness is enough to transform their life.

Knowing how good it feels to receive time, love, happiness or wealth from others, why not give back by sharing? I am not here to preach to you about it, I am simply sharing with you how rewarding it is. Don’t believe me? Give it a go…

When we remember the simple fact that we belong to each other, we begin to create an energetic force that has the potential to end all suffering, replacing it with love.

Like the idea of giving? There is an online summit happening just now called 'Give to profit' which is hosted by a wonderful lady called Alisoun MacKenzie www.givetoprofit.com
